Nicole List for Rio Rancho
Meet Nicole
As a fourth-generation New Mexican, born and raised in Albuquerque’s North Valley, I have always been deeply connected to our state’s rich heritage and community spirit. My educational journey, beginning with a BS in Family Studies from the University of New Mexico and culminating in a Master’s in Social Work specializing in Child Welfare from Arizona State University, reflects my lifelong commitment to family and child welfare. Further enhancing my skills, I returned to academia to earn my teaching credentials, a step that underscores my dedication to education.
My career, spanning both public and private sectors, has predominantly focused on education and working with families, allowing me to understand the unique challenges and opportunities within our community. As a resident of Rio Rancho for the past decade, I’ve grown to love this community, where I live with my husband, Joshua List, and our one-year-old daughter. Balancing my role as a part-time school district employee with the joys of motherhood, I am deeply invested in the future of our community.
My vision for Rio Rancho is to create a nurturing environment for children and families, ensuring job opportunities, prioritizing road improvements, and maintaining transparency in governance. I am committed to preserving the safety and close-knit community spirit that makes Rio Rancho a wonderful place to live. Together, we can build a future where every child thrives and every family feels a sense of belonging and support.
